Whatever could this be? Winter doesn’t seem to know, either.
It appears to weigh at least 16 lbs, which narrows the possibilities down a bit.

Recycling packing material is good for the environment. Just be careful when reusing it or you might ship something you didn’t mean to.

We have been having glorious weather this week, which is supposed to be gone tomorrow, so whenever I am home I have been trying to make sure I let the cats out in their yard…
Me: (after letting Simon and Olive out and noticing I was missing one) “Winter! Better hurry! The gate is open.”
Silence at first, then thundering galloping from the other end of the house, accompanied by some sort of cry of glee…
Winter: “Mmmmeeeeeeeeeeeewwwww!!!”
A little while later I checked on them to make sure no one was dead, and found this:

Simon turned seven on the 4th… actually, since he’s a rescue we don’t know the exact date but it’s around that time and since he came into our lives with such a commotion we decided that July 4th was a good birthday for him. Winter just turned three last month, we don’t have any babies in the house any more…
Winter and Simon got to go out in the yard on leashes, with an entourage of dogs and our neighbor’s cat to accompany them. They explored the yard, ate lots of grass, and Winter loudly threw up in the living room a few hours later. A good time was had by all.

I finally had a chance to put up the pictures from the project we worked on Memorial Day weekend, and thought it would be a good idea also to create a new album to put them in, this way we can add pictures of some of the other cool things we’ve found.
We actually finished a furniture project - that in itself is amazing. In the past we’ve been good at starting them but actually seeing it through to completion… not so much.
Now that the album is up, I’ll have to get a picture of desk-zilla uploaded. But that’s another story!

… that their grammy brought them back from New Orleans last month. I meant to post these sooner but things got a bit crazy around here with the new job and such.
