Keen Eddie on Bravo!
Posted by Chris under Day-to-day ramblings
From the Bravo TV FAQ:
“Will Bravo be airing episodes of the series Keen Eddie? Will you be producing new episodes?
Bravo has acquired the rights to all thirteen episodes of the critically acclaimed drama Keen Eddie, six of which have never been aired. No definitive date has been set for its debut, but look for it in early 2004. At this time, there are no plans to produce additional episodes or TV movies.”

Please put all of the epidsodes of Keen Eddie on TV or DVD or something I can see. I crave this show. I cannot believe that something this wonderful cannot find an audience. I saw two episodes of it this summer and wanted more. I’m sure if people just heard about it, Keen Eddie would have lots of viewers.

It was a great show-but somehow FOX didn’t see it that way….Hey FOX…think MONK!

Keen Eddie, What a show! My wife and I absolutely love it, I am from the UK so the humour in Keen Eddie was great, Well I couldn’t believe it when FOX said they were moving it to another night, THURSDAY Prime time, Great news!, well One episode was Aired on the new night and then the show was cancelled, What are FOX thinking?, Bloody idiots. Not everyone watches Baseball? or Nascar?
Well we are glad that Bravo are going to air the remaining episodes, it felt like I had got into a good book and then the last few pages were ripped out so I never knew how the story ended.
I will be watching BRAVO more often as aposed to FOX, I hope somebody has the sense to make another season of good quality fun instead of all those reality shows etc.

Hi! Another Brit contributes here to the fact that “Keen Eddie” was TOO good for the average FOX viewer (sorry “Paris”, “24″ etc. fans). Eddie has such a witty dialogue that hardly anybody (unless they were watching every second) would follow it if trying to do something else as well. Sit down, enjoy Bravo for its great programming, and just enjoy the episodes. They are worth waiting for to come back. Bravo!! to Bravo. Go Keen Eddie”

Shhhhh. We just finished the Keen Eddie Series here in South Africa. I got to admit that it was one of the coolest shows I’ve seen in ages. If only there were plans to make a second season!!!!
January 13th, 2004 at 8:17 am
If only everyday was Keen Eddie Day! Us South Africans are starved of quality programs and Keen Eddie was a breath of fresh air. It was witty and very original. My praise to the creators and the cast for making my Monday nights a treat. I really hope that somebody sees the light (obviously Fox did not!!!)and continues with this succesful formula and produces another series.

I was happy to hear Bravo was going to pick up “Keen Eddie.” It was one of the coolest, most intelligent entertaining shows I’ve seen on TV in a long time. Of course it had too much class for Fox. They never even advertised it so most people never heard of it. Hopefully Bravo will continue with a second season.

keen eddie just finished its run in south africa and we enjoyed every second. i’m absolutely gutted to learn that there aren’t plans for another season. don’t people realise there are other tv markets besides the U.S?

I LOVED Keen Eddie and was absolutely crushed when Fox canceled it. Not surprised of course, because it was definitely too intelligent for the network. I watched every single episode Fox deigned to air. I am so jazzed that Bravo is picking it up. Currently I don’t have cable but I am totally thinking about investing it it, just so I can watch this show! Please PLEASE make a second season! This show is awesome!

I think subscribing to Bravo would be worth it just to see the entire series. I’m really looking forward to it coming on next week Jan 20th. Check out this clip from an unseen episode on the Bravo site:

Hey All “Keen Eddie” fans! Only two days to go before K.E. is back - thanks to Bravo. Worth subscribing to cable just for K.E. - also for all of the intelligent and witty shows on Bravo. Fox is a loser - the titillation they gave us with a few K.E. episodes will have us glued to Bravo for all thirteen episodes - and then PLEASE make another series.
PS: If you like Keen Eddie - you will probably also enjoy (have enjoyed?) “The Office” on BBC-America. Cheers!

As a british ex-pat. I am starved for fast paced witty programmes, in the U.S. that make me think. “BRAVO” to Bravo. (Sorry BBC America) But there is more to British TV than the Beeb. How do ordinary people petition to a network (like Bravo) to make more episodes) I know that in the UK TV works differently, shows run, have a great story, then end. Eddie did not end it just went away. Please make more, or at the very least how about ITV America? Corronation Street anyone? I am sick of Eastenders.

I’ll add my voice to those who are glad to see Bravo airing Keen Eddie (the lost episodes!), but I’m also sad that there will be nothing new. This show is better that MOST of the programs on TV today…surely it would be valuable for some network to pick it up for a 2nd season?!

Alleluia! I was distraught when Keen Eddie disappeared from FOX this summer. BRAVO! to BRAVO for being “Keen” enough to pick up this winner. The show is refreshing and original. Please start filming more episodes!

Thank you for posting that link, Chris. It’s a great show and a lot of the positive feedback that has been posted to our weblog here could maybe do some good if it was sent to the folks who actually have the power to do something about this.
I swear it seems like Fox deliberately sabotages new shows sometimes; cancelling after half a season, airing out of order, switching the day around repeatedly, why do they even bother picking up shows like Keen Eddie or Firefly if they are just going to kill them before they even get a fair chance?

Like most of you here, I was excited when I saw the ads for Keen Eddie to be airing on BRAVO. The dialogue, the quirky characters, and… for alot of episodes, the intellectual way of handling the crimes, (as opposed to gritty, gorey shoot outs and car chases every episode.)
Keen Eddie is a gem of a show, easily my favorite, and I hope they air a 2nd episode. I just wish that it didn’t have to go up against the emmy winning 24. Not a good time slot to compete against, but Keen Eddie sure has me watching it anyway.

Lets start petitioning Paramount to get this show out on DVD! I’ll be first in line!

I discovered this show on Bravo and can’t believe Fox would have cancelled it. I love his show. I hope that more episodes will be produced. I think it is fabulous that he cast is bicoastal. How many shows do Americans need to see with New york and L.A. as the only backgrounds. There are so many fabulous shows abroad that we never tap into. I have lived here and in Europe and I am amazed that they watch all our programs and we only have a handful of theirs and they are dated.

I love Keen Eddie. Was last week’s show the end of the season, or will he back on next week?

Maybe now that Siena Miller is getting recognition for her work in Alfie, Bravo will bring back the Keen Eddie series. I loved it, it was a refreshingly fun detective series (Like Monk). I’ve seen Mark Valley on Boston Legal but his talent is wasted on that show.
